Welcome to Raquette River Outfitters, your original Adirondack outfitter. We rent and sell the finest lightweight boats and gear available at great prices. Our central location is the gateway to a quick myriad of wilderness routes.
Raquette River Outfitters is committed to the woods and waters in many ways. Rob Frenette, a fourth generation Adirondacker, builds and restores Adirondack guide boats and wood canvas canoes including century-old boats that are still plying the local waters. A graduate of Atlantic Marine Boat Building School in Maine, he has devoted his talents to wooden boat work. His exemplary work was recently highlighted in an eight-page feature article in Adirondack Life Magazine (November 2000). His partner, Anne Fleck, has been studying the health of the Adirondack mountains and lakes for 15 years as a field research technician for Dartmouth College. Both are active hikers, bicyclists, campers, paddlers and skiers.
