Welcome to Raquette River Outfitters, your original Adirondack outfitter. We rent and sell the finest lightweight canoes, kayaks and gear available at great prices. Our central location is the gateway to a quick myriad of wilderness routes.

Raquette River Outfitters is committed to the woods and waters in many ways. Rob Frenette, a fourth generation Adirondacker, builds and restores Adirondack guide boats and wood canvas canoes including century-old boats that are still plying the local waters. A graduate of Atlantic Marine Boat Building School in Maine, he has devoted his talents to wooden boat work. His exemplary work was highlighted in an eight-page feature article in Adirondack Life Magazine (November 2000). His partner, Anne Fleck, studied the health of the Adirondack mountains and lakes for 15 years as a field research technician for Dartmouth College before devoting herself fully to the business . Both are active hikers, bicyclists, campers, paddlers and skiers and have a passion for the outdoors.
